Why Applied Computer Science at Bay Path University?

Computer science is at the heart of information management, analytics and decision support systems within and across virtually every industry. It is also at the heart of all forms of automation taking place across the country and around the world. Computing has become more mobile, connected, fast and cost-effective in recent years, generating a surge in new and exciting career opportunities.

Applied Computer Science is for students who wish to focus on solving business problems with the application of technology. Students will select upper level software development courses including two courses specifically designed to engage in the research and development of advanced software design and implementation projects. As a student in the Applied Computer Science program you will focus on the skills, tools, and technology needed in any information technology job, as well as develop critical leadership skills such as professional communication, project management and business practices.

• Official high school transcripts translated into English
• One of the following: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS scores (if the language of instruction in your high school or college was in English this can be waived)
• Two letters of recommendation from your teacher, school counselor, or principal 
• One to three page typed essay in English addressing what you hope to gain from your college experience as well as what you will contribute to the Bay Path University community
• Photocopy of a valid passport
• Bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover one full year of study at Bay Path University 

Bay Path University enjoys a rich tradition of international student enrollment. International students interested in enrolling in any of the associate or baccalaureate degree programs are required to submit the following requirements:

• Completed application
• Official high school transcripts translated into English
• One of the following: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores (if the language of instruction in your high school or college was in English this can be waived)
• Two letters of recommendation from your teacher, school counselor, or principal
