Applied Science is designed to provide students with the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to build a successful career in the Science sector. By developing your abilities, this nationally-recognised qualification will provide you with the strong foundations needed to progress within higher education or take your first steps towards your professional career in Science. Modules include: Fundamentals of Laboratory Techniques, Scientific Data Handling Approaches and Techniques, Regulation and Quality in the Applied Sciences, Cell Biology, Fundamentals of Chemistry, Anatomy and Human Physiology, Analysis of Scientific Data and Information, Applied Science Research Project, Biochemistry of Macromolecules and Metabolic Pathways, Immunology, Principles of Ecology and their applications, Genetic Analysis, Microbiological Techniques, Stem Cell Biology. Pearson are currently reviewing this Higher National Qualification. Some modules titles may change. This is subject to approval.
