    A World of Arabic Language and Culture

    The Arabic minor is available to all Miami students. Through the study of Arabic language and culture, students connect with their families, friends, and communities in the present; to their future jobs or graduate studies; and to the past through history of Middle East and Islam. (18 semester hours)

    Entry Requirements

    • Non-Refundable $70 Application Fee or Qualified Fee Waiver. (Our application fee is waived for all students who apply by Nov. 1 for 2023 enrollment.)
    • Academic Records
      • Academic records include all secondary school studies, beginning with 9th grade through the most current available at the time of application.
      • Proof of secondary school graduation is required before you enroll at Miami.
    • Proof of English Language Proficiency
      • Provide TOEFL or IELTS test scores or provide alternative proof of English language proficiency.

    Required Documents for Visa

    An I-20 visa document is required to enroll as an international student at Miami University. To receive yours, please first provide the following items:

    • A copy of your passport or national identification card.
    • An international student financial support form with documentation of financial support, such as a bank statement. (Tax returns or letters of employment/income are not acceptable.)
