Archaeological Sciences (MSc)

About

This two-year, in-depth interdisciplinary programme provides students with a detailed understanding of the human past, focusing on a combination of disciplines in the natural sciences. Students specialise in one of six sub-fields and tailor courses and research with top scientists on staff. Students acquire practical and theoretical knowledge using cutting-edge tools and gain experience in the lab and the field. An early integration in ongoing research projects and the development of scientific skills allow students to undertake projects of their choice, in consultation with their advisers, to investigate current questions in any field of archaeology. The six specialisations available to choose from at TÃ¼bingen are: palaeoanthropology, geoarchaeology, zooarchaeology, archaeobotany, archaeogenetics, and archaeometry.

Bachelor's degree in Archaeological Sciences (or equivalent) with a grade of at least 2.5 (German grading system)
