The mission of ARCH@USM is to prepare students for successful careers in the design and construction industry and also to prepare students for advanced study in professional Master of Architecture programs. ARCH@USM focuses on creative, business, technical, and communication skills necessary for a successful career in architecture.
The Architectural Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the commission's General Criteria and Program Criteria for Architectural Engineering Technology and Similarly Named Programs.

The Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology at the University of Southern Mississippi is an undergraduate pre-professional 4-year degree.
Students who complete the Bachelor of Science in Architecture Engineering Technology at University of Southern Mississippi may continue on to a Master of Architecture program at another institution if they decide to pursue licensure as an Architect. Many schools of architecture nationwide provide Master of Architecture programs that are compatible with our undergraduate degree (consult the NAAB directory of accredited programs in North America).
