    About

    The Architecture program of Baheehir University, aims to offer students an academic environment of communication, freedom and access to knowledge, providing a medium where they could acquire the equipment, experience, ability and skills to produce an architecture that is contemporary, universal and responsive.

    The Architecture program of Baheehir University, aims to offer students an academic environment of communication, freedom and access to knowledge, providing a medium where they could acquire the equipment, experience, ability and skills to produce an architecture that is contemporary, universal and responsive to basic concerns and issues such as human requirements, construction, arts and natural /physical environment.

    Included in the curriculum are courses on design, history, theory, building technology, cultural / environmental sustainability, communication media, urban studies, and departmental electives as well as courses on interdisciplinary fields.

    The concept and structure of the program, aim to create awareness on the conditions and norms in which architecture is formed while developing students skills for critical thinking, evaluation, using alternative paths as significant components of education; learning / teaching process.

    Baheehir campuses at central locations in Istanbul, Berlin and Rome, create settings where cultural opportunities of the city centers, diverse dimensions of architecture and education exist on common grounds with the university facilities. Moreover, exploring world cities and architecture as a method of learning / teaching is encouraged through site trips, summer / winter school and exchange programs.

    Entry Requirements

    • General Certificate of Education / Cambridge School Certificate / Cambridge Higher School Certificate
    • Minimum of 2 full A-Level academic subject and 50% Successful completion of High School Studies

    English Program Requirements

    If English is not your first language, or you do not have an internationally recognized English qualification, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. You can bring one of the internationally recognized test results or you can take the proficiency test of Bahçeşehir University (For Undergraduate Programs Min. Score: 60-Graduate Programs Min. Score: 65)

    How to Apply

    STEP 1

    ONLINE APPLICATION

    REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

    1. Submit Copy of Passport
    2. Submit a copy of Undergraduate Diploma (in English or Turkish)
    3. Transcript of records/required scores (in English or Turkish)
    4. Foreign language exam results (if any)
      • TOEFL (IBT 79)
      • TOMER (B2)certificate (only for programs offered in Turkish)

    Please note: Your application will not be taken into consideration by the Admission Committee  
    until you submit all required documents. 
    We will send you an acknowledgment of evaluation result within three weeks of receiving your
    application

     

    STEP 2

    PRE-ENROLLMENT

    Follow the instructions on your Conditional Acceptance Letter by sending the deposit and reserve your seat and obtain the Official Acceptance Letter before coming to Istanbul to finalize registration.

     

    STEP 3

    PAYMENT

    • Cash is accepted at Deniz Bank / B building. 
    • Credit card is accepted at BAU Financial Office.

    Visit International Office when payment is done!
    Note: Paid in Cash? Verify your payment from the Financial Affairs.

    Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 6 p.m

     

    STEP 4

    COMPLETE ENROLLMENT

    • Go to the Student Affairs office.
    • Submit your original documents and payment receipts.
    • Get your student account activated at registration office for international students. 
    • Get information about English proficiency if needed.

    STEP 5

    RESIDENCE PERMIT

    The final step is for you to complete your residence permit application. Visit the International Office and a representative will assist you.

    Please bring along with you the following documents:

    • Passport
    • Photocopy of your passport ID page as well as the pages with student visa and entry stamps (if you require a visa to enter Turkey)
    • Student certificate
    • Health insurance
    • 4 passport-sized photographs
    • Application fee receipt (can be paid at Ziraat Bank or Tax Offices)
    • Tax number from the tax office
    • If you are under 18: Consent letter, birth certificate
    • A colored copy of the Residence Permit application form
