Architecture at TU Dresden

About

The degree program in architecture conveys knowledge, skills and abilities for the design and project planning of buildings and structural facilities as well as for urban planning. Optionally, you can study special building planning (residential buildings, public buildings, commercial buildings, social and health buildings and interior design) or urban and spatial planning, special principles and methods of monument preservation as well as other specialist areas. Especially noteworthy is the close interconnection with the Landscape Architecture degree program. The complexity and balance of theoretical, artistic, technical and ecological components within the educational process is a typical feature of the Dresden diplom program. Applicants are expected to have a good general education, an interest in artistic design, powers of observation, spatial imagination, creativity and technical skills. The Student Information and Counselling Service of the Faculty of Architecture provides the opportunity to conduct an aptitude test during an interview.
