Overview Art Education OptionA partial professional preparation program is included in the curriculum of the Art Education program of California State University Los Angeles, which is certified by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and is designed for teacher candidates to perform subject matter competency in Art. Students in the Art Education program are experienced and knowledgeable in a wide range of art disciplines that reflect and are relevant to teaching and learning art in public schools and other educational settings in the community. The Art Education curriculum ensures that graduates are able to implement all the components of the California Framework for Visual and Performing Arts into a state standard-based curriculum in their future teaching.
