Overview We offer a bachelor degree in Art Education at Columbus State University. In the first two years, students complete studies that establish eligibility for admission to teacher education. This is followed by a sequence of campus and field-based courses culminating in the student teaching semester during the senior year.Educator Preparation at Columbus State University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.The CSU Department of Art is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).Learning OutcomesBSED graduates will demonstrate competence in the application of Art Media and Technology in their portfolio. BSED graduates will demonstrate competence in the application of Art Theory and Art Movements in their portfolio. BSED graduates will demonstrate competence in the application of Concepts of Art Education Foundations. BSED graduates will demonstrate competence in the development of P-12 curriculum.
