4. Senior exhibition requirement
An approved senior exhibition is a requirement for graduation.
5. Computer literacy requirement
Art education majors must demonstrate computer literacy before admittance to the upper division of teacher education. This requirement can be met by verification of competency by experience or by taking a computer course.
6. Certification requirement
Certification additionally requires demonstrated teaching competence and recommendations from the certifying institution. The state of North Carolina now requires a 2.7 GPA for acceptance into the College of Education Educator Preparation program.
