    Overview The curriculum of the Art History and Art program of Case Western Reserve University is designed to give students a broad grounding in the study of the visual arts, with a strong emphasis on understanding the cultural context in which they were produced. Students also develop a technical and critical vocabulary as well as sound writing skills to express ideas and perceptions about works of art.  Internships (both credit and non-credit) at local museums and other arts institutions provide experiential learning opportunities for those interested in careers for art history majors and minors.
