    Overview The 30-credit hour program in Art History from University of Missouri - Kansas City includes a First Year Experience course; three critical thinking courses in the areas of Arts & Humanities, Natural & Physical Sciences, and Social & Behavioral Sciences; a Culture and Diversity course; a Civic & Urban Engagement course; two courses in Composition and one course in Communication; and a Math Pathway course.Every undergraduate student must take a course covering the United States Constitution and the Missouri State Constitution before graduation. Student Learning OutcomesStudents graduating from this program will:Have a basic knowledge of both Western and Non-Western art history.Cultivate aesthetic understanding and a life-long enthusiasm for history and the arts.Develop skills and perspectives to understand art and architecture as complex cultural products.Develop effective writing skills.Be able to understand the context of information contained in scholarly publications.
