    Offered through the University's world-class College of Performing Arts, Rowan University's Master of Arts (M.A.) in Arts Administration program welcomes recent graduates, working professionals, and professionals seeking a career change.

    The curriculum is practically-driven through an applied approach and supported with a theoretical and leadership foundation. You will learn to have an impact on your organization through creative practice and transformative leadership.

    Our goal is for you to thrive in your organizations and communities, apply what you are learning in the curriculum, and have the ability to contribute positively as a purpose driven manager in our arts communities.

    Our program's success is acknowledged by our accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST).

    Entry Requirements

    • Application fee: $65 (USD) non-refundable
      *There are no waivers available.
    • College Transcript and Copy of Original Degree – If you have completed more than one degree, all academic credentials should be submitted. Additionally, if your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is required.
    • Standardized English language test score – a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, PTE minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 120 for traditional admissions.

    • Professional resume/CV
    • Recommendations – a minimum of 2 are required for Master’s programs, and a minimum of 3 are required for Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
    • Statement of professional objectives – Provide reasons for pursuing the program applied. Describe how you will use this program to reach your career goes, and educational goals beyond the master’s level if applicable. Students should also identify personal qualities that they want the committee to see in them, such as leadership, concerns for others, talent, etc.
    • You can upload the required documents to your application portal once you submit your application. Additional items may be required depending on the program applied.

    • Invite your recommenders, and let them know they can submit their recommendation electronically.
    • Review specific requirements when selecting your program of choice.
    • Share your standardized English language test score with Rowan University – Rowan’s TOEFL code is 2515, Rowan’s Pearson Test of English (PTE) code is M7V. For Duolingo , please add Rowan University to your “My Colleges” list. Official IELTS score reports can be verified with the TRF# in the bottom right corner. International students must submit standardized test scores unless they are exempt (View Language Policy).
