    This course has been designed to produce graduates who are knowledgeable in the biomedical and medical sciences and who have developed the practical laboratory skills and abilities to work in diagnostic pathology laboratories. Medical Laboratory Technicians work as part of a team with doctors, scientists and lab assistants. They conduct tests and other procedures used to diagnose and treat diseases.

    In order to gain entry, an additional year of study following the qualification; this may include a Foundation Studies Program, one year of study at a higher education insitute or equivalent. Please note no credit will be granted on the basis of these studies.

    All academic documentation submitted to Flinders electronically must be certified. We also require certified copies of passports for applicants from some countries. Original documentation may be submitted by post or in person, but we are unable to guarantee return of these original documents.

    • the registrar of the university that issued the transcript or parchment
