The Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technology from Lawrence Technological University blends the concepts of classical audio engineering with modern-day applications, including multimedia components, digital technology, computers, and network systems to give you a strong set of skills with which to enter the field.At our off-campus studio located in Plymouth, Michigan, you will experiment with a variety of recording hardware and software applications, including Pro Tools, and explore sound mixing techniques, processing and production skills, microphone usage, digital recording, and more. Whether you are a seasoned musician or a novice, you will learn basic performance skills and how elementary music theory applies to audio engineering. You will gain knowledge of audio standards as well as musical instrument digital interface, or MIDI, which is widely used in the audio and music industries.
