    The BA (Hons) Airline and Airport Management is a dedicated qualification which will introduce you to various aspects of the exciting aviation, airline and airport industries. Designed with insight from a range of aviation and industry experts, this course highlights the changes and developments within the industry.

    You will gain an understanding of the human factors in aviation, airline strategic management, and airport operational management as well as have the opportunity to undertake an internship module. This course will provide a route to improve skills and knowledge for a career in the associated industries. This will help you develop the knowledge and experiences to pursue a career in the operations, planning, security, marketing and management of airlines as well as airports, ground handlers and cargo operators.
     

    You'll learn about the dynamics and complexity of the airline and airport industries and their sub-sectors. This will include developing critical thinking skills that utilise knowledge of management principles and practices to airline and airport-based operations and facilities through transferable and sector-specific skills. 
    You'll also develop effective management strategies for airport and airline organisations and enterprises and apply financial planning and budgeting skills that will assist in the decision-making processes. This will prepare you for practical business-related studies such as business and marketing plans. Develop and apply various strategies for an airport operator. You'll develop the skills to propose airport operation and management strategies using computer simulation tools and ensure that safety is the overriding objective within the airport industry. You'll also learn how to critically appraise regulatory, economic, professional and political information from various sources throughout the airport industry.

    • Tawjihi: 60% for Foundation
    • 3 x AS Levels: Foundation
    • US High School Diploma: GPA 2.0 for Foundation
    • US High School Diploma: GPA 3.0 + SAT1 1070 for Direct Entry to Bachelor's
    • International Baccalaureate (IB): 25 points with minimum 15 at Higher Level for Direct Entry to Bachelor's
    • 3 x A Levels: Direct Entry to Bachelor's

    We are thrilled to announce that our international scholarships for September 2022 have been approved and successful award winners are being notified. The is no need to re-apply for another scholarship as your eligibility will be automatically assessed at time of offer. 

    If you are an applicant, you need to ensure that you have submitted a complete application, (including your personal statement and supporting documents) and we will assess your application against our internal criteria.

    Scholarships range between £1,000 and £5,000 - off your first year's tuition fees- (depending on your course  programme). If you receive an offer of a place and are assessed as eligible for an international scholarship, the amount of the award will be indicated in your offer letter. 

    International Scholarships are issued at  the University's discretion and are only available to overseas, fee-paying, offer holders studying on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme. Different programmes may attract different amounts and it should be noted that not all applicants will be successful.

    International Scholarships are not available for:  

    • Short courses or exchange/study abroad programmes
    • Franchised programmes
    • Pre-Masters programmes
    • International foundation programmes
    • Pre-sessional English programmes
