    Course Overview

    This contemporary and market driven course will provide you with an innovative study of the theory and practice of various areas of Business Management. With a strong applied / vocational focus you will be equipped with the key transferable skills that are required by employers after you graduate.

    The course covers academic as well as practical and contemporary aspects of Business Management which will prepare you for work in, and the setting up of, modern business organisations, as well as for study at postgraduate level.

    Weve designed our BA (Hons) Business Management so that it is relevant to you it will allow you to draw on your own learning, work or entrepreneurship experience.

    The degree programme is also beneficial to students who work while studying. You will be able to implement the skills and knowledge you gain in the classroom in your own workplaces and businesses in real time.

    Whenever possible, youwork with authentic (and where possible live) case studies of contemporary organisations to help meet your own objectives..

    Our BA (Hons) Business Management has been redesigned to include CMI accreditation and to provide you with the opportunity to graduate with a specialised qualification:

    • BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing)
    • BA (Hons) Business Management (Entrepreneurship)
    • BA (Hons) Business Management (Human Resource Management)

    You will be eligible to graduate with a specialised qualification if you take specific modules in your final year. You only need to make a decision about whether or not you want a specialised qualification before you start your final year. If you dont want to specialise, you will graduate with a BA (Hons) Business Management.

    When you enrol on the BA (Hons) Business Management from October 2022, you will be provided with a laptop pre-installed with the software you will use during the course. You will also be able to access our Virtual Learning Environment, online library and eBooks.

    Entry Requirements

    112 UCAS tariff points. GCSE in English Language at Grade C/4. Alternatively, you can take our assessment and interview.
    Access to HE Courses & international equivalent qualifications are also accepted

  • IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with all components at 5.5 or above (for all 3 and 2-year, 1-year undergraduate courses and 1-year MBA and MSc Management postgraduate courses)

    When you graduate, you will have the knowledge and experience to work in a range of industries and roles. Our alumni have become human resource managers, operations managers, brand managers and business development managers. Many also choose to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities, setting up their own businesses such as GoLocate – an asset tracking technology.

    Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

    We are currently accredited by CMI.

    Upon completion of their courses, our undergraduate students will be awarded the following (depending on the course):

    • CMI Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership
    • CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership
    • CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership

    Upon graduation you have the option of gaining Chartered Manager status. Chartered Manager is all about professional recognition and it is the highest status that can be achieved in the management and leadership profession.

    You can achieve Chartered Manager Status as follows:

    • Fast Track: If you have the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership and at least 3 years’ experience in a management role. The experience can be completed before you started your degree, during your degree or after you graduate (or a combination of the three). This route builds on the completion of your CMI Diploma qualification and provides a fast track assessment process taking into account your prior learning with CMI.
    • Full Assessment: Once you have graduated and have at least 3 years’ experience in a management role. The experience can be completed before you started your degree, during your degree or after you graduate (or a combination of the three). You will need to capture details of your recent achievements/positive results. You will then work with a CMI assessor to complete the assessment review. You can choose between Written Submission assessment or Professional Discussion assessment.

    Postgraduate study opportunities

    Our graduates have progressed on to postgraduate study at a range of different universities, specialising in many different business-related subjects.

    We have a progression agreement with Birkbeck College (University of London). If you graduate with a minimum 2:2, you will be eligible for admission to some of Birkbeck’s Master’s degrees without having to be interviewed.

    You will also be eligible for admission to our MBA. As one of our graduates, you will receive a 25% tuition fee discount.

    How to Apply

    • You have been offered a place on a course and have received a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) – 50 Points
    • You can speak, read, write and understand English – 10 Points
    • You have enough money to support yourself and pay for any outstanding course fees – 10 Points

    We can help you if you need to apply for an extension to your existing Student visa in order to finish your course. You must apply for a visa extension before your current visa expires. You can start the process and submit your application within 3 months of its expiry date.
