Overview

This BA (Hons) Business Management Top Up degree is for you if you already have a good foundation of business and management from your Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification, and you are interested in extending your studies to obtain a full degree. In this one-year programme you are offered the same opportunities as our current Business Management students and have the opportunity to specialise in areas of interest for your career pathway.

Many of the jobs you will hold in the future donâ€™t exist yet and the BA (Hons) Business Management degree will teach you management fundamentals to deal with todayâ€™s complex and changing business landscape with our current real-world business and management scenarios. You will explore a range of business and management disciplines such as marketing, accounting and finance, HR management, information systems, operations management and research skills.

On this course you will:

Explore various business management topics, tactics, opportunities, challenges and solutions.
Complete projects on modules relating to your chosen career pathway.
Be able to complete a 10-week placement providing valuable work experience.
Develop valuable soft skills like teamwork, communication, time management and problem solving.
Have the opportunity to take part in events and activates including trips, events and business forums.

How to Apply

You can apply for up to five different degree courses at up to five different institutions through UCAS (the national Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Your application is sent to all five universities at the same time.

Each course has a UCAS code that you will find on our course pages or in our prospectus. You will need to know the UCAS code for the course you want to apply for when you make your application. The UCAS code for the University of Chichester is (CHICH) C58.

You will need to include the following documents:

Personal Statement – A written piece of about yourself; why you have chosen the course you are applying for, and why you want to come to the University of Chichester
Copies of Qualifications to date – Translated into English
Proof of English Language Level – If English is not your first language
Two academic references
For a Music course we will need a DVD of a musical performance for 5 minutes long. We also require an academic essay written in English.
For Dance we need a web link of two performances, one of which should be contemporary and at least three minutes long. We also require an academic essay written in English.

When your application is received by the Admissions Department, the Admissions Tutor for your chosen subject will consider your application. We aim to reply to you within two weeks.

Conditional Offer – if you have not yet met all the entry requirements. The conditions may be academic, for example the successful completion of a current course of study or obtaining a particular IELTS score.
