Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Laws

    About

    Overview

    • Do you want to work in the legal or accounting professions? By studying a double degree in accounting and law you will diversify your skillsets and employment opportunities. You can also complete a double degree quicker than if you were to study the two bachelors degrees separately.
    • Delivered by industry-professionals and academics, UniSQ’s law courses cover topics such as contracts, criminal law, dispute management, company, constitutional, and administrative law, property and trusts, civil procedure, evidence law, as well as theories of law and applied ethics in legal practice.
    • The accounting courses allow you to develop technical and professional skills in financial and management accounting, auditing, information technology, taxation and ethics.
    • Your learnings in law will culminate in a capstone project that involves combining the knowledge you’ve acquired over the duration of the degree, in addition to improving and expanding on organisational skills, research, interpersonal skills and ethical inquiry.
    • Take advantage of UniSQ’s strong connections with the business sector. Complete professional work experience and collaborate with an organisation on a project.
    • Be ready to step into the workforce after refining your abilities in UniSQ’s moot courts and with hands-on experience in legal practices, advocacy, and support centres.
    • Interested in law but unsure if you’ll pursue a career in legal practice? This career-focused double degree also enhances the unique competencies that come from a legal and accounting education. You’ll cultivate analytical thinking, advanced problem-solving, and research skills.
