This is combined with fostering proficiency in a second or further language and cultural understanding, vital for global career opportunities. The course prepares you to tackle industry challenges in a dynamic technological landscape, equipped with a global outlook.
Merging AI expertise with language and cultural studies, you also have the chance to study abroad and broaden your professional horizons. You'll acquire a robust skill set, mastering AI technologies to define and solve problems, and developing solutions from concept to execution. The curriculum covers essential AI topics including deep learning and natural language processing, ensuring you stay at the forefront of innovation.

In your fourth year, you will study in the local language at a university in the country of your language major and complete an honours level research project under the supervision of a relevant UTS academic. Upon completion, you'll be able to design and implement AI applications, with career prospects ranging from AI specialist to data scientist.
The Bachelor of AI Bachelor of International Studies (Honours) combines the professional degree with language and culture studies, enhancing professional training and career options by providing students with the opportunity to undertake studies at an overseas University.
Course aims
This course provides students with the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge required to meet the demands of this exciting field. Students in the program engage in practical, hands-on learning using technologies to formulate and scope an AI problem, and design, develop, verify and validate solutions for defined problems. The program covers a broad range of current and emerging areas of artificial intelligence, including such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, image processing and natural language processing.
The Bachelor of International Studies aims to:
- provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of another language and culture, intercultural awareness and engagement, resilience and adaptability, and stronger communication skills, and
- encourage understanding and appreciation of, and sensitivity towards, diverse cultural perspectives, practices, needs and values, in international and local contexts.
