Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Media, Culture and Communications

    About

The study of media and communications in their cultural, social and global contexts offers an illuminating perspective on how the media helps shape the diverse representations of the world.

The Media, Culture and Communications major will enable you to understand how power, culture and technologies work to produce both the local and global world of media and communications. It brings into focus the manner in which media can both reproduce and challenge the often unequal relations of power that underpin our society. Through a range of units, you’ll critically examine the social, political and ethical issues that inscribe media and communications.
