    This course is designed for those aiming to develop expertise in both business and law, offering a dual skill set that is highly sought after in various professional settings. You have the option to choose your area of specialty through electives, including the forward-thinking Legal Futures and Technology major that prepares you to play a key role in the regulation and management of technology. Successful completion satisfies the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer in NSW.

    You will acquire research, critical thinking, and communication competencies essential for effective practice in law and business. Teaching methods include a diverse range of practice-focused learning activities and interactive classes ensuring you develop both knowledge and applicable skills.

    Specialist skills are developed through electives and major choices, such as the Legal Futures and Technology major, which is focused on the emerging tools that are shaping the legal profession.

    As well as gaining the critical, analytical and evaluative skills required for effective legal and business practice, on completion of this course students also meet the academic requirements for admission to practise law in NSW.

    Admission requirements

    Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.

    The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL iBT: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.

    International students

    Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
