    The Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws combined program at Bond is designed for students interested in a professional career in accounting, economics, finance, or law.

    Gain a thorough understanding of the financial side of the business, as well as a professional legal qualification.

    In addition to developing an understanding in law, and the foundation to pursue a career as a legal practitioner, you will complete a commerce major, and have the option to choose a specialisation in law.

    With Bond’s accelerated study timetable, you can complete this combined program in less than four years.

    Entry Requirements

    General Secondary Education Certificate (Successful Completion) and required SAT score 1190

    Overall test score. Where multiple test results have been presented, the overall test result providing the best rank will be used.

    Bond's programs are taught and assessed in English, so depending on your educational background and citizenship, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. This may include submitting results from an approved English Language Test taken in the past two years - you can see the required results for the most common approved tests below. There are other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency and gain entry into this program, including demonstrating prior study in English, or other qualifications. If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission.

    Where will your degree take you?

    This combined program can provide you stand out career options. In conjunction with the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, you can apply for admission to legal practice. 

    You may find employment as a solicitor, in-house lawyer, barrister, corporate or public servant, or you may choose to take on roles in business or industry such as an accountant or merchant banker.

    Outcomes

    Legal professional

    Upon being admitted to legal practice, you can work as a solicitor in a law firm, government or a private organisation utilising your skills in law and commerce.

    Barrister

    Upon being admitted to the legal profession and completing the bar practice course, you can work as a barrister. A barrister is an independent advocate and advisor and is often highly skilled in a particular area of law.

    Non-legal role

    Graduating with a law degree provides you with an array of legal skills which include critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, conflict resolution and advocacy which can be transferred into any non-legal role.  This career pathway doesn’t necessarily require you to be admitted to the legal profession.  You can work in non-legal roles in management and consulting, politics, human resources, investment banking and more.
