This course is tailored for students completing the International Honours pathway in the combined Bachelor of Communication and International Studies. Choose this programme to immerse yourself in a foreign culture by studying at a partner university abroad and conducting honours-level research under expert UTS guidance.
Distinctively, you will refine your linguistic capabilities and cultural understanding through practical experience in your chosen country. You'll develop advanced writing and publishing skills, culminating in a diverse portfolio.
You will gain expertise in crafting both fiction and nonfiction, enhanced by direct feedback through workshops. Teaching is interactive, focusing on real-world application and peer collaboration.
Graduates excel in various writing roles, adept in communication for diverse sectors, including media, marketing, government, and NGOs.
To hone their skills, students engage in interactive classes led by skilled practitioners. Subjects often rely on workshopping, with students learning key concepts, applying these to their own writing, and collaborating with other students to provide and receive feedback. In this way the course provides students with a brilliant opportunity to be a part of a unique writer’s studio and develop their craft, finishing with a folio of works covering key forms and genres.
