    Adelaide University’s Bachelor of Creative Arts is your go-to degree for a career in the creative industries.

    Designed to be flexible, you’ll study up to two majors in the creative areas that interest you the most. You’ll also develop professional skills in project planning, communication, problem solving and creative innovation – skills that are transferable across industries.

    Explore your creative identity and a range of creative careers to map the pathway to your dream job. You’ll also have the chance to put these skills into action, gaining professional experience and building your professional network.

    In the Creative Industries major, you’ll deepen your understanding of the cultural and creative sectors and the policies and frameworks that connect them. You’ll prepare to become a strategic thinker who can join key debates in topics such as cultural economics and global arts production.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved at least one of the following minimum entry requirements and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.

    Secondary education (Year 12)

    • Completion of a secondary education qualification equivalent to the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

    Vocational Education and Training (VET)

    • Completion of an award from a registered training organisation (RTO) at Certificate IV (AQF level 4) or higher.

    Higher education study

    • Successful completion of at least 6 months full-time study (or equivalent part-time) in a higher education award program.

    Our Bachelor of Creative Arts prepares you for a wide range of careers in creative fields – as well as creative roles in other industries. You might become an arts and cultural coordinator, engaging local artists and the community to revitalise urban spaces. Perhaps you’ll become an arts policy manager, developing policies and securing funding to increase accessibility to the arts. Maybe you’ll develop interactive public programs that inspire others to engage in the arts.
