    About

    Learn to plan, market and manage festivals and arts events, and fast track your career in the fast-paced festivals sector. This degree will help you develop career-ready skills in arts event production, business planning, strategic thinking and marketing. You'll learn how to plan and manage festivals and events from the ground up, working with highly experienced teachers and in close collaboration with industry. This hands-on degree will see you graduate with highly transferable skills, prepared for a range of exciting roles in the arts and other sectors. This degree is delivered in partnership with Festivals Adelaide.

    • Develop the creativity, strategic thinking, business capability and practical skills required for success in the creative and cultural industries sector and specifically in the delivery of festivals and arts events.
    • Take charge of your own creative career, and tailor your learning to meet your own individual goals in the creative industries.
    • Learn to produce your own arts events in collaboration with multi-disciplinary creative teams, industry stakeholders and community organisations.
    • Understand and apply cultural policy, cultural leadership and event direction.
    • Learn to work adaptively with new media and disruptive technologies in a fast-changing, technologically driven industry environment. 

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    The minimum entry requirement is comparable to an ATAR of 65, please note that some Flinders programs require higher than a comparable ATAR of 65. For further information please see the individual requirements for programs on the course listings.

    Prerequisite subject requirements

    Credit for previous university studies is granted at the discretion of the faculty that administers a chosen course. If you are seeking credit or exemption you will need to provide detailed subject outlines of studies completed.

    If you do not meet the necessary academic requirements you may enrol in a Foundation Program at Flinders International Study Centre (FISC).

     

    English Program Requirements

    If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers. This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
