    You'll graduate from this degree having gained real-world experience thanks to over 80+ days of teaching practice in a variety of educational and professional settings.

    The Bachelor of Health, Physical Education and Sport (Secondary) has been designed to equip you with the professional knowledge and practical skills you need to teach in diverse school settings.

    Utilising a strong core curriculum with an explicit focus on teaching practice, and you will learn to use a range of teaching strategies that engage your students' needs, use assessment and data to inform practice, and use critical reflection to impact the future of your classroom.

    Throughout this degree, you will:

    • complete over 80 days of teaching practice to gain real-world experience and graduate classroom-ready
    • study three teaching methods, for health, physical education, and one elective subject area
    • gain sports coaching experience
    • have the option to undertake accelerated learning to complete your degree in 3.5 years.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    You must have successfully completed a qualification recognised by RMIT as equivalent to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) with a minimum average of 70% (see calculator below).

    Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.

    Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.
