    Why study Human Rights at UWA? We are the only university in WA that provides undergraduate you with the opportunity to undertake a full program of study in human rights You'll have the opportunity to study human rights, and associated ideas (e.g. social justice), from a wide variety of perspectives – legal, political, philosophical, practical, and historical. Your teachers will be leading experts in their respective fields Gain vital experience and establish connections through internships and engagement with people working on human rights issues Why study Human Rights at UWA?About the Bachelor of Human Rights Human rights have become the dominant language used to debate contentious social and political questions on a global scale. Activists appeal to human rights in defence of the oppressed. A complex set of global institutions has evolved, centred around human rights, while a flourishing field of academic inquiry is now devoted to debating human rights issues. Our Bachelor of Human Rights is a unique, interdisciplinary program of study that equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage with real-world issues in human rights, and related areas such as social justice. You'll examine these ideas from a variety of perspectives; legal, historical, political, practical, and philosophical. You'll also gain invaluable analytical skills essential for success in the workplace.

    Entry requirements Admission requirements To be considered for this course you need to: achieve a minimum ATAR of 85 demonstrate English language competence - applicants presenting with IELTS Academic require an overall score of at least 6.5 and no band less than 6.0 satisfy any prerequisites for your preferred majors (refer to individual major descriptions for prerequisite details) You can view the prerequisites and recommended subjects for your chosen course here.     2. Select your course, entry pathway and upload supporting documents
    3. Save or submit your application

    Domestic students applying for Graduate Entry Medicine must apply to GEMSAS.

    If you are applying for a combined coursework and research professional psychology program, you will need to apply via the School of Graduate Research.

    If you're an international student, you may wish to apply through an agent.

    If additional information is required:

    • Admissions will contact you if any additional information is needed to process your application. You can upload any additional documentation to your application via the applicant portal.
    • If you have applied for a course that requires an interview, Admissions will contact you close to the interview period.
