About
About the course This combined bachelor's and master's (CBM), is designed for you to excel as a pharmacist upon graduation, highlighting the critical role pharmacists play as frontline healthcare providers and equipping you for the expanding scope of practice across diverse healthcare settings and specialised fields. This four-year course begins with a comprehensive foundation in the human body, chemistry, physiology and pharmacology. As the course progresses, you'll build on essential knowledge of how medicines work and interact with the body, along with key principles of clinical pharmacy practice. In the Master of Pharmacy there is a focus on developing your skills to become a compassionate and ethical practitioner through a person-centred approach to healthcare. You'll gain hands-on experience in different pharmacy settings and learn the latest skills and knowledge in the field. The Master of Pharmacy (51500) is accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC). To become a registered pharmacist in Australia, after graduating you'll first obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. You then complete a year of supervised work, and pass required examinations to achieve full general registration as a pharmacist.
