    About

The Bachelor's programme Intercultural German Studies at the University of Bayreuth offers practice-oriented training and gives students – including non-native speakers – a solid academic foundation in the German language and German culture, qualifying graduates to pursue a career in the field. You will focus intensively on the foundations, theories, and methods of intercultural German studies, literature, and linguistics. You will gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter, for example, by combining your core areas with an additional subject relevant to your professional or academic interests. Thanks to the University of Bayreuth's interdisciplinary character, you'll be able to choose from 18 different subject combinations such as African Languages, Literatures, and Art.
