    Skills in media and communication are essential to every industry, and the market for media and communication experts is expanding exponentially.

    As the only degree in South Australia that targets the new professions in global communication and combines communication studies, creative digital media, and business skills, this degree has been designed and developed with the industry in mind. You'll gain the skills to research, write, design and produce content for the ever-changing media landscape.

    Choosing to specialise in Digital Media, Strategic Communication, Public Relations, or Business Skills and Entrepreneurship, you'll become an informed content creator and will be equipped to persuade and inform different audiences, create graphics and images, publish and maintain communication on various platforms, and undertake marketing and public relations activities. You'll also develop practical industry knowledge and the contacts to graduate prepared for a challenging career.

    Entry Requirements

    The minimum entry requirement is comparable to an ATAR of 65, please note that some Flinders programs require higher than a comparable ATAR of 65. For further information please see the individual requirements for programs on the course listings.

    Credit for previous university studies is granted at the discretion of the faculty that administers a chosen course. If you are seeking credit or exemption you will need to provide detailed subject outlines of studies completed.

    If you do not meet the necessary academic requirements you may enrol in a Foundation Program at Flinders International Study Centre (FISC).

    Many students prefer to use an agent to assist them with the application process. We have a wide range of trusted agents who you can contact to help you through the application process.

    You can apply to study at Flinders University via an authorised agent in your country, or you may submit your application yourself. Refer to Step 4 to see if you need an Education Agent to assist with your application.

    Obtain certified documents

    All academic documentation submitted to Flinders electronically must be certified. We also require certified copies of passports for applicants from some countries. Original documentation may be submitted by post or in person, but we are unable to guarantee return of these original documents.

    Persons authorised to certify documents within Australia include:

    • a Justice of the Peace (currently registered in Australia)
    • a barrister or solicitor
    • a police officer
    • an employee of Australia Post
    • a Flinders International staff member
    • an official Flinders University agent.

    Persons authorised to certify documents outside Australia include:

    • an Australian Embassy official or Australian Consular official
    • the registrar of the university that issued the transcript or parchment
    • a Flinders University staff member
    • an official Flinders University agent
    • a Notary Public (excluding India and Nepal).

    You will need to upload all required documents prior to being able to submit your application so it is important you have these ready.

    Your application is now complete

    Flinders University will send you and/or your agent an email confirming we have received your application.

    The email will contain your Flinders University Application Number and you should take special note of this as you will need to quote this in any correspondence while your application is being assessed.
