    About

Enhance your career, gain a competitive edge in the healthcare industry, and position yourself as a leader in nursing.

UQ's Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) is a one-year program designed for graduates who are passionate about advancing nursing knowledge, developing research capabilities, and unlocking new career opportunities in research, education and clinical leadership.

Through training in research methodology and critical inquiry, you'll learn how to design, conduct and analyse research addressing key healthcare challenges. You'll work closely with expert academics in small, supportive learning environments, fostering collaboration, in-depth discussion and mentorship as you develop your research thesis.

For those currently employed in the healthcare sector, the honours program is available part-time, allowing you to balance your studies with professional and personal commitments.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) program have gone on to impactful roles in public and private healthcare services, maternity and neonatal care, rural and remote health clinics, research institutes, teaching positions and international aid organisations.
