Pharmacists are regularly ranked as one of the most trusted healthcare professionals. They are often one of the first health professionals accessed for advice on medication, and play a major role as healthcare providers and educators to the community. More than ever, pharmacists are contributing to improved health care through their growing scope of services in both primary and secondary care, such as pharmacist vaccination services.
The QILT 2023 Graduate Outcomes Survey reveals that graduates from vocationally focused programs, including pharmacy, typically experience higher rates of full-time employment in the short term compared to those from more generalist fields of study. In Australia, the full-time employment rate for pharmacy graduates stood at an impressive 96.5 per cent.
