Veterinary Bioscience

Focuses on the biological principles underlying animal health, behaviour and diseases. Prepares you for careers in veterinary sciences (following further study), animal production and nutrition, and animal research.

Academic entry requirements

Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with one final year course in Mathematics (any) or one final year
course of either Chemistry, Biology or Physics or overseas equivalent.

English language requirements

Overall Academic IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent

Federation University accepts a variety of English language tests as proof of English proficiency. English proficiency assessment should be made using an external English test (Academic IELTS or equivalent) with the results determining whether the student can enter into our programs directly or via an appropriate English program.

From 1 July 2016 direct entry without an external English test will be only permitted when student meets the English exemption requirements described on the Federation English language requirements page as per the Simplified Student Visa Framework’s English requirements.

Entry requirements vary from program to program, but generally require completion of an Australian bachelor degree, or overseas equivalent, with specified minimum grades (or marks) in relevant subjects. A period of work experience, following graduation, may also be required for some programs.
