    About

About the course By completing this Combined Bachelor's and Master's course you will graduate with both a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. In your first three years you will complete the Sport Science, Exercise and Health Extended Major where you will learn to apply theoretical knowledge to develop and deliver exercise-based interventions for fitness, performance, and health and wellbeing. The award-winning work-integrated learning program will provide you with opportunities to integrate theoretical knowledge in real-world professional settings as well as to interact with professionals in the industry. The Sport Science, Exercise and Health major (MJD-SEHDM) in any course leading to a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences or Bachelor of Philosophy is accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Graduates will be eligible to apply as an accredited exercise scientist. During this time you will also undertake a semester of postgraduate study. You will then complete a final year of postgraduate study in the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology where you will acquire knowledge and develop skills in preparation for work in the allied health industry. The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (73520) is accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Graduates will be eligible to apply for accreditation to practice as an accredited exercise physiologist. You may structure a course which is best tailored to their future requirements and area of specialisation. The course is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the use of exercise as a modality in the treatment of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic and other chronic and complex conditions. If you decide not to continue in the CBM you can exit after three years with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences (Advanced). Note that the Advanced Bachelor Degree is available only as a CBM exit award. It is not offered for direct enrolment and is not awarded on completion of the CBM.
