    A Bachelor of Sport Management combines the core business fundamentals of management, marketing, negotiation, and human resources, with sports-specific skills in event management, sponsorship, public relations, governance, and sport law.

    Studying Sport Management at Bond Business School is a dynamic, hands-on experience, working in small, personalised classes with teachers who know the business of sport from the inside. They don’t like being confined to the classroom any more than you do and will have you working on events, with local and national sport organisations, with high performance athletes and professional sporting teams.

    You will get the best of both worlds as a Bond Business School student, with access to the Centre for Data Analytics, the Bond Business Mentoring Program and Transformer.

    With Bond’s accelerated three-semesters-per-year timetable, you can complete the Bachelor of Sport Management in just 2 years (6 semesters).

    Entry Requirements

    General Secondary Education Certificate 85%

    Grade average of final year results. Converted to a percentage scale where 50% = pass if otherwise reported.

    General Secondary Education Certificate (Successful Completion) and required SAT score 1020

    Overall test score. Where multiple test results have been presented, the overall test result providing the best rank will be used.

    English language proficiency requirements

    Bond's programs are taught and assessed in English, so depending on your educational background and citizenship, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. This may include submitting results from an approved English Language Test taken in the past two years - you can see the required results for the most common approved tests below. There are other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency and gain entry into this program, including demonstrating prior study in English, or other qualifications. If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission.

Graduates of this program may find employment opportunities in the government, community, private and not-for-profit sectors including government, sport, tourism and recreation services, sport venue management, sport advertising, media relations, sponsorship, and marketing.

    Outcomes

    Sport event manager

    Sport event managers are responsible for the planning and execution of local and major sport events. Other types of duties include, liaising with marketing professionals for the design of event collateral, managing event personnel, collaborating with sport coaches and teams, and negotiating price points with event contractors.

    Sport marketer

    Sport marketers are responsible for promoting sport teams, players and events by creating effective advertising and building brand association. Responsibilities may include securing sponsorships for sporting teams and events, advertising and promotion of sporting events, building relationships with sporting organisations, as well as plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns.

    Sport manager

    Sport managers are responsible for the promotion and coordination of sport activities as well as overseeing the participation, travel and logistics of players and coaches and other special groups in sport. They can work for sport governing bosies, professional sport organisations, and any nymber of other sport-related organisations.
