    About

See yourself in this specialist field

Interested in learning how to become an optometrist? Study vision health at the University of Canberra and explore the science of sight, optical systems and eye health.

UC’s Bachelor of Vision Science gives you the foundational knowledge and skills to understand how we see, how vision changes and how to support people’s eye health across their lives. You’ll also gain insight into business and management, giving you the broader skills needed in today’s health sector.

The course also provides a pathway to the Master of Optometry. Completing both degrees prepares you to apply for registration with the Optometry Board of Australia to practise as an optometrist.
