    About

    The bachelors program in Business Administration provides students with a comprehensive business and economics education in Marketing and Sales, Finance, Accounting and Taxation, Management, Information Systems and Operations Management and also includes soft skills seminars on topics such as conflict management and time management. The program also has a unique, international focus. Students have the option of studying abroad, and attending language courses in, for example, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese and Japanese. In the fourth semester, students can specialize in two elective areas. They spend the fifth semester studying abroad, and write their bachelor's thesis in the sixth semester. The bachelor's program in Business Administration contains eight subject areas:

    • Methodological Basis for Economists (19 ECTS credits)
    • Economics (16 ECTS credits)
    • Civil Law and Business Law (14 ECTS credits)
    • Ethics and Rhetoric (4 ECTS credits)
    • International Studies (33 ECTS credits)
    • Elective Modules (4 ECTS credits)
    • Bachelors Thesis (12 ECTS credits)

    Due to its diverse nature, the bachelors program in Business Administration gives its graduates a variety of career options. Our graduates work, for example, as business consultants, credit analysts at banks, and account managers in industrial and trading companies, or found their own business.

    How to Apply

    Admission to the degree programs at the University of Mannheim is not selective within the meaning of a tradional numerus clausus (NC). Instead, we take the following criteria into account in our selection process:

    • the grade average achieved in your university entrance qualification,
    • the grades achieved during the final four semesters of your German upper secondary education in Mathematics, German, and a foreign language,
    • work experience in the business sector; extracurricular activities relating to your desired field of study,
    • a very good level of English proficiency.

    German language proficiency
    If you are not a German citizen or do not have a German university entrance qualification (e.g. Abitur or equivalent school leaving certificate), you must prove German language proficiency at C1 level.

    • The application deadline for our bachelor's programs for the fall semester 2022/2023 will start on 1 June and will end on 15 July 2022.
