Requirements
Entry Requirements
You will complete a core of courses and select a prescribed number of elective courses related to your personal and career interests. Additional courses in chemistry, mathematics, and physics are required or recommended. All courses taken as part of the Biology major must be passed with a grade of C or better.
In addition to fulfilling the requirements of the major in Biology, as well as the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences general education requirements, you'll be required to complete the College's First Year Experience Program or Transfer Student Program.
English Program Requirements
The language of instruction at Alfred University is English.
All undergraduate international applicants are required to submit official scores from either the SAT, the ACT, TOEFL or IELTS examinations. If an international student has taken classes in a US University or college; they must apply as a transfer student, and we will review all English courses on the transcript(s) to show English proficiency.
Alfred University reserves the right to request undergraduate applicants to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores if their SAT or ACT scores are inconclusive.
