    About

You will cover everything from business planning, soil analysis, livestock production and welfare and crop production to environmental protection. In addition to essential theory, you will benefit from hands-on experience in laboratories and on farms and via agricultural case studies.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    • IELTS band score 6.0 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)

    Career

Our graduates have gone on to pursue careers within companies worldwide and within the following roles:
    • Farm/estate manager
    • Food and bio crop manager
    • Agricultural/land-based consultant
    • Farm and environmental advisor
    • Agricultural supplier
    • Grain trader

Oliver Pritchard, BSc (Hons) Agricultural Management (Top-up) graduate 2019 - "In the classroom you learn information ‘academically’, but the RAU also offers many great placement options. Over the holidays – Christmas, Easter and Summer – you can do placements and learn information ‘practically’."

Tatenda Mazoroodze, BSc (Hons) Agricultural Management (Top-up) student 2020 - "The best part of it is that the lectures are not just theory-based lessons, but we go out on field trips to different farms and actually get to apply our knowledge. The course is designed to make you visualise yourself having your own farm to manage. This helps you understand what you have to know and the task at hand much better."
