Overview The Building Energy Systems (Honours) programme at Cork Institute of Technology theme is energy and energy systems within new and existing buildings, emphasising the topic of sustainability in the built environment. It aims to marry the traditional skills of the Building Services Engineer with the pressing issue of energy efficiency and sustainability. Learning outcomesStudents will focus on creating vibrant, dynamic, sustainable environments within large building complexes, maximising the contribution from renewable energy technologies whilst minimising the total energy consumed. This Building Energy Systems (Honours) programme at Cork Institute of Technology is a one year add-on for those already possessing a Level 7 B Eng (or equivalent National Diploma) in Building Services Engineering or a suitable related discipline.
