    About

    There are an estimated 4.5 million people helping to keep UK businesses running in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. With administrators among those playing an essential part, our Business and Administration Apprenticeship will give you the broad range of skills needed to work efficiently and to help increase business productivity. Suitable for employees in business roles which include administration tasks, our Level 3 apprenticeship enables you to gain a professional qualification and develop your skills and knowledge while you work. Depending on the job role, your tasks will vary greatly and could include preparing notes, producing documents, organising events, setting up and maintaining filing systems, using software packages, monitoring risk and administering budgets. You will be required to work independently and/or as part of a team and will be involved in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. You will develop key skills and behaviours to support your own progression towards management responsibilities. As a business administrator, you will be expected to deliver your responsibilities efficiently and with integrity. The role involves demonstrating strong communication and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. You will be expected to show initiative, managing priorities and your own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants holding 'A' Level Certificates will be considered against the standard UCAS tariff for any Undergraduate Degree programme applied for.

    Applicants holding the International Baccalaureate with a minimum score of 24 will be considered against the standard UCAS tariff for any Undergraduate Degree programme applied for.

    Those holding (Community College Diploma) in a relevant subject may be considered for advanced entry.

    English Program Requirements

    To apply for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you will need to sit an approved test in English if it is not your first language. This might include achieving IELTS (Academic or UKVI) of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band, depending on your course requirements.

    In addition, we accept Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 72 with minimum band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, Speaking 20 for Undergraduate (BA, BSc) and most postgraduate degrees.

    If you are applying for the International Foundation Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, you will need UKVI IELTS of 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any band.

    IELTS can be taken from the British Council. Please note that the date of your IELTS award must be within two years of your degree/master’s degree start date.

    We also accept the following online tests for entry onto degree-level courses:

    • TOEFL (iBT) Home – minimum scores as above
    • Language Cert - a minimum of 'pass' at B2 level
    • IELTS Indicator - minimum scores as above

    How to Apply

    If you have applied at UCB, we will submit your application to UCAS on your behalf, but only once you have successfully secured an Unconditional place. By completing this application you accept you do not wish to make further choices within the UCAS scheme.

    • If you require a Tier 4 visa or you live or have lived for a significant period of time outside of the UK, EU and EEA before the first day of the first academic year of your course.
