    Overview During the Business and Economics program at Benedictine University, students acquire skills in communication, analytical thinking and an appreciation of the human element in organizations from a spectrum of general education, interdisciplinary and management course work.The curriculum features an integrated study of core business courses that pertain to the functional aspects of business, accounting, finance, management and marketing. Similar consideration for international business characteristics is included. Exposure to economic theory as well as fundamental analytical courses in mathematics and statistics is included to provide students with foundational and practical problem solving tools.Learning outcomesThis unique major prepares graduates for entry level professional and career positions in corporate management.  Alternatively, the program also prepares students to teach business, economics or management subject areas in secondary schools when combined with a minor in education and teacher certification.  Graduates of the program are also qualified for graduate and professional study in business or management.This business degree is available through day classes for traditional undergraduate students.
