Overview Learning outcomesHoused in a new facility, both the BFA and MFA programs in Ceramics from Edinboro University challenge students to develop their own artistic direction. Advanced and graduate classes encourage group discussion on contemporary issues and emphasize individual critiques of students' work. Ceramics students at Edinboro University learn hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, kiln firing procedures, glaze and claybody chemistry, moldmaking, and other processes. Special courses are offered in craft-business practices, glaze calculation and kiln-building. This comprehensive program offers all methods of firing, using approximately 20 kilns of various sizes.
