Why a Certificate of Advanced Paralegal Studies at Bay Path University?

Students majoring in any program at Bay Path University may work to earn the 22-credit Certificate of Advanced Paralegal Studies. Students in the Certificate of Advanced Paralegal Studies program are educated to:

• Understand the legal profession and its role in our society
• Think critically and write competently and persuasively about legal issues
• Use technology to perform legal research and associated tasks
• Act ethically in their professional and personal lives
• Act on opportunities for professional growth and continuing education

• Official high school transcripts translated into English
• One of the following: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS scores (if the language of instruction in your high school or college was in English this can be waived)
• Two letters of recommendation from your teacher, school counselor, or principal 
• One to three page typed essay in English addressing what you hope to gain from your college experience as well as what you will contribute to the Bay Path University community
• Photocopy of a valid passport
• Bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover one full year of study at Bay Path University 

Bay Path University enjoys a rich tradition of international student enrollment. International students interested in enrolling in any of the associate or baccalaureate degree programs are required to submit the following requirements:

• Completed application
• Official high school transcripts translated into English
• One of the following: SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores (if the language of instruction in your high school or college was in English this can be waived)
• Two letters of recommendation from your teacher, school counselor, or principal
