The course of study in chemistry consists of six semesters including a Bachelor´s thesis. It is divided into a first track of studies of four semesters and a second one of two semesters. Three months are dedicated to writing the thesis.
The basic course covers the following subjects:
- inorganic chemistry,
- physical chemistry,
- organic chemistry,
- analytical chemistry,
- physics,
- and mathematics.
The chemistry core subjects into which the appropriate analytical training is integrated are allocated approx. 80 % of the course time, with approx. 20 % for the subjects physics, mathematics, and computer science. 45 % of the normal course timetable is dedicated to laboratory practicals in the core subjects.
The fifth and sixth semester consolidate the training in the core subjects inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and organic chemistry.
