    Chemistry Education (7-12)

    About

The study of chemistry is broad but fundamental in a young student’s education. A chemistry education is necessary because it connects and helps you understand other sciences such as physics, biology, and geology. With a degree to teach chemistry, you can be an important part of their junior high or high school education. In the chemistry education degree program at Wayne State College, you’ll get a solid understanding of chemical sciences while also learning how to teach in a classroom setting.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

High school seniors may apply for admission and send transcripts directly from their high school any time after completion of the sixth semester. A final high school transcript documenting official graduation date from that high school must be submitted prior to the start of the semester for which admission is being sought.

All freshman applicants under the age of 21 are encouraged but not required to submit test scores from either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The scores are not used in an admission evaluation, but rather to help determine which college courses students should take in their first year.

The ACT/SAT scores may also be used to determine academic scholarship eligibility and/or academic eligibility for intercollegiate athletics to meet NCAA requirements.
