Program details
The Department of Chemistry offers programs of study leading to a Master of Science degree in Chemistry.
Expected duration: 2 years
The Chemistry (MSc) program consists of a combination of coursework and a thesis component.
Tuition and fees: One year's tuition, then continuing fees in subsequent years (refer to Graduate tuition and fees)
In addition to the minimum course requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, found in the Graduate Studies Regulations Section, students must:
- Complete a ACS placement test
- Complete 9 credit hours of study including:
- CHEM 7900 (Seminar)
- Two CHEM courses at the 7000 level
- Complete and successfully defend a thesis
Colloquium: A weekly colloquium is given by members of staff or external invited lecturers. All graduate students are expected to attend the colloquia.
