Graduate Admission Requirements A baccalaureate degree in chemistry or an allied field from an accredited college or university Fulfillment of the requirements for the baccalaureate degree or its equivalent An undergraduate and/or graduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher GRE of funded graduate students on assistantship (verbal and quantitative combined GRE score that averages 1100 or better, or for the new scoring, 300 or better) TOEFL scores of 80 or higher A statement of professional goals Three letters of recommendation from people familiar with the students work and background.

English Program Requirements

For students required to show English Language Proficiency for summer 2020 and fall 2020, Georgia State accepts Duolingo English tests as one of the new English proficiency tests. To register for the test, please go to go.duolingo.com/applicants. The Duolingo English Test can be taken online from a computer with a camera. Certiﬁed results are available within two days and can be shared instantly with the university. For 2020-2021 admissions cycle, any changes on the admissions requirements will be updated on the website under the guidance from the University System of Georgia.
