Why Chemistry @ Memorial?
The Department of Chemistry of Memorial University is one of the largest Chemistry departments in Atlantic Canada, with 23 faculty, 13 permanent laboratory instructors and instructional assistants, and a number of support and research staff. Over 60 graduate students currently work in the Department's research laboratories. Faculty members' research interests touch on all major subfields of Chemistry, including analytical, physical, inorganic, organic, theoretical/computational, environmental/marine, and materials.
Description of programs
- MSc " The MSc program involves courses and a thesis and can be completed in two years of full-time study. The program prepares students for careers in government and industrial research, college teaching, and university research and teaching.
- PhD " The PhD program involves courses, a comprehensive exam, and a thesis, and can be completed in four years of full-time study. The program prepares students for careers in government and industrial research, college teaching, and university research and teaching.
